Energy healing (also referred to in this site as the Usui Reiki system of energy healing, Reiki and vibrational medicine), meditation, sound healing, aromatherapy, crystal healing and spiritual coaching are complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practices (also known as natural healing, traditional medicine, holistic therapy, spiritual practices) and ancient holistic therapeutic methods that are widely considered safe and non-intrusive techniques that heal the mind and body. 

CAM practitioners do not diagnose or cure clients, but rather work with clients or patients to promote healing in all areas of life and health.  CAM practices are complementary to Orthodox (Western) medicine and therefore do not replace the advice of a licensed healthcare professional. Alternative medicine treatments allow clients to be more actively involved in making decisions about their own health and well-being.  If you currently have a health condition that is new or is under the careful management of your General Practitioner (family doctor) or a health consultant, you should continue to seek their advice and discuss the complementary treatments you are receiving.  It is important that your family doctor knows of your intentions so they can give you the best healthcare advice possible.

Alternative Medicine and energy healing works on an individual basis and therefore the outcome of a treatment or series of treatments will vary from person to person.  That said, energy healing treatments have many positive effects and at the very least clients leave the treatment room with an overwhelming sense of well-being and calm.
